Job summary

1Above Technology in Richardson, TX is seeking an Information Technology Hardware Technician to install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware, printers, and networking equipment across client and internal environments. This full-time, on-site role requires strong troubleshooting and clear communication with end users.

Qualifications

• Must have strong hardware troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience installing and configuring IT hardware and peripherals.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to train users on hardware usage and best practices.
• Familiarity with Windows and macOS environments and basic networking.
• A relevant certification such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware and peripherals.
• Diagnose and repair hardware issues, perform upgrades, and replace components.
• Set up workstations, imaging, software installs, and network connectivity.
• Assist with hardware inventory management, labeling, and lifecycle planning.
• Support network hardware (switches, APs, routers) as needed.
• Provide on-site and remote hardware support and document work orders.
