Job summary

Compucom Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Tech II to provide on-site IT support for national retail clients in the Menifee, CA area. You will diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, document actions, and maintain excellent customer relations while traveling on a defined route.

The role requires a year of IT technical support experience, a valid driver's license, and relevant certifications. Competitive hourly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a non-remote, full-time schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• One year IT technical support experience
• Cash recycler repair experience is highly preferred.
• CompTIA A+ (Preferred)
• Net+ CompTIA certification preferred.
• Driver's License (Required)

Responsibilities

• THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION
• Must be able to work in physically demanding environment (Lifting, bending, climbing, walking extensively)
• Exceptional Customer Service and relationship building competence.
• Must be self-motivated, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Must have a working cell phone.
• Travel within a radius of 25 to 150+ miles daily in a specific route
• Areas include retail locations around Menifee, CA
• Understand AC/DC and backup power concepts.
• Excellent time management and reporting skill
• Familiar with various operating systems (e.g. - Windows OS, OSX, Linux/Unix)
• Manage triage, troubleshooting and resolution to client scope on IT equipment.
• Occasionally works at heights of 20’ to 25’, lift equipment training provided.
• Document efforts, issues and resolutions, close cases/tickets daily
• Experience desired in copper and fiber cabling and various terminating connectors
• Proficient communicator with emotional intelligence insight for explaining IT terminologies at the client’s level of understanding.

• Refresh projects
• Able to lift 25 lbs
• 40-hour work week mandatory
