Job summary

Siemens Healthineers seeks a field service professional to install and service linear accelerators and imaging equipment on-site, troubleshoot complex systems, and train customers in operation and maintenance.

You will travel up to 10 days at a time with 4 days off; a company vehicle is provided. The role requires strong engineering knowledge, customer focus, and fluent English; join a team committed to advancing cancer care worldwide.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years related experience; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical engineering, RF energy producing devices and electronic cooling systems.
• Proficient in the use of test equipment for verification and calibration of electronic equipment.
• Basic networking skills to integrate the machine onto the customer server.
• Knowledge of PC-based systems.
• Customer focused attitude.
• Articulate and skilled in interpersonal communication.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site installation and service for linear accelerators and imaging systems, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning.
• Check operational quality of system equipment.
• Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of the system.
• Serve as liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
• Support field activities including hardware, software, PCs, and networking installs and upgrades.
• Demonstrate equipment operation and CAP-compliant procedures to customers.
• Advise customers on spare parts or service requests to ensure proper operation.
• Input installation and upgrade details into company information systems for accurate records.
• Maintain professionalism and safety per VMS guidelines and regulations.
• Perform parts inventory and ordering for installs, replenishing kits as needed.
• Maintain technical documentation on equipment performance and development.
• Report via FSR’s, time sheets, and expense reports for accuracy.
