Job summary

MSCCN in Kentucky is seeking an Industrial Maintenance & Utility Operator to support plant manufacturing. This hybrid role blends hands-on maintenance with utility system monitoring and is on-site at our Kentucky facility.

The ideal candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, tanks, piping, and rotating equipment, and monitor boilers, chillers, HVAC, and other utility systems while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or utility operations, preferably in chemical or industrial manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with continuous process operations.
• Familiarity with boilers, chillers, HVAC, dust collectors, scrubbers, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Outdoor work environment and handling of hazardous materials.
• Knowledge of safety procedures including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and chemical handling/ disposal.
• On-call rotation for facility emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, tanks, piping, and rotating machinery.
• Plan, select, and lay out materials for service and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and process lines.
• Maintain CMMS records and follow safety/environmental protocols.
• Provide direction and training to junior O&M specialists.
• Requisition new supplies and equipment.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions in utility systems.
