Job summary

MSCCN is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Operator/Technician to support our power plant equipment. The role focuses on mechanical maintenance, welding, pump and valve work, and aligns components per prints.

You will operate shop tools and overhead cranes, and follow strict safety procedures. The position requires high school diploma or GED, with an Associate’s degree in Welding or Machinist preferred; experience 1–5 years in an industrial mechanical role is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in Welding, Machinist, or Mechanics preferred.
• Maintenance roles in industrial/mechanical settings with 1–5 years experience for Operator III/II/Technician.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, bearings, rigging, and overhead lifting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair power plant equipment.
• Perform Lockout\/Tagout procedures.
• Read prints and diagnose mechanical issues.
• Operate drills, lathes, grinders and shop machines.
• Perform welding (GTAW and SMAW) and alignments.
• Work overtime as needed in a power plant environment.
