Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Industrial Maintenance & Utility Operator to support plant manufacturing in a hybrid role, combining hands-on maintenance with utility system operation. The position requires responsiveness to alarms and on-call rotations, along with strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental guidelines.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial maintenance or utilities, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read P&IDs and schematics.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or utility operations.
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with process operations.
Able to read P&IDs, schematics and manuals.
Comfortable working outdoors around hazardous materials and with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, tanks, piping and rotating machinery.
Monitor and operate plant utility systems including boilers, chillers and HVAC; respond to alarms.
Maintain CMMS records and support installation, startup and shutdown of equipment.
Participate in on-call rotations and adhere to lockout/tagout and chemical handling procedures.
