Job summary

Polar Semiconductor is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern in Bloomington, MN, onsite for a 12–13 week engagement. You will report to the Lead Engineer in Industrial Engineering and assist with efficiency and manufacturing improvement projects across IE, Operations, Process and Maintenance teams.

Responsibilities include capacity studies, labor studies, fab observations, and using Excel/PowerPoint/SQL/Python to solve problems.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering / industrial and systems engineering, completed sophomore year.
• Skills: Statistical Analysis, Programming Basics, Optimization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct capacity studies and create reports to improve modeling accuracy.
• Perform labor studies and identify improvements for operational efficiency.
• Observe fab operations and propose operational opportunities.
• Leverage Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Python and other tools to solve problems.
