Job summary

Polar Semiconductor is seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern for a 12-13 week on-site program in Bloomington, MN. You will work with IE, Operations, Process and Maintenance teams to analyze data and improve manufacturing processes.

You will build Power BI reports from large data sources, design clear infographics, and explore AI applications to optimize planning and execution in a high-volume fab environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
• Able to code in SQL, Python, or similar for data extraction.
• Proficient with Excel and Power BI or similar data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop reporting solutions to improve factory operations and planning.
• Use large data sources to extract and analyze manufacturing and planning data.
• Build reporting in Power BI and other systems for program teams; create easy-to-understand infographics.
• Explore AI tools and potential applications in the workplace.
