Job summary

Polar Semiconductor, LLC seeks an Industrial Engineer Intern to work on-site in Bloomington, MN for 12–13 weeks. You will interact with IE, Operations, Process and Maintenance teams to develop data-driven solutions for manufacturing challenges.

Responsibilities include building Power BI reports, analyzing large datasets, and crafting clear infographics, with opportunities to apply AI tools in the workflow. This internship emphasizes hands-on learning in a cutting-edge fab environment.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Production Operations Management or related field.
• Ability to code in SQL, Python or similar to extract data.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerBI or similar data visualization tools.
• Basic understanding of Manufacturing Science and Production concepts.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop reporting solutions to improve factory operations and planning.
• Use large data sources to extract and analyze manufacturing and planning data.
• Build reporting in Power BI and other systems to convey data to program teams.
• Construct infographics that display key information in easy-to-understand formats.
• Leverage AI tools to explore new applications in the workplace.
