Job summary

Polar Semiconductor is expanding its Bloomington, MN operations and offering an Industrial Engineer Intern role for 12-13 weeks on-site. You will work with IE, Operations, Process, and Maintenance teams to tackle manufacturing challenges using large datasets.

Responsibilities include creating reporting tools, analyzing data sources, and building Power BI dashboards to inform program teams, plus developing AI-assisted approaches in the factory environment.

Qualifications

• Working toward Bachelor's or Master's in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Production Operations Management, or related discipline.
• Ability to code in SQL, Python or similar to extract data.
• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI or similar data management/visualization tools.
• Basic understanding of Manufacturing Science and Production

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop reporting solutions to improve factory operations and planning.
• Use large data sources to extract and analyze manufacturing and planning data.
• Build reporting in Power BI and other systems to convey data to program teams.
• Construct infographics that display key information in easy-to-understand formats.
• Leverage AI tools and find new ways to apply AI in the workplace.
