Job summary

Polar Semiconductor is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern in Bloomington, MN for a 12-13 week, on-site temporary program. You will support the Lead Engineer and cross-functional teams on capacity and labor studies, fab observations, and efficiency improvements using Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Python.

Qualified candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in IE/ISE, with sophomore-year completion, and have skills in statistics, programming basics, and optimization techniques.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering / industrial and systems engineering, completed sophomore year.
• Skills in Statistical Analysis, Programming Basics, and Optimization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Capacity studies and reports on key toolsets to drive modeling accuracy.
• Labor studies and potential improvements that will affect operational efficiency.
• Fab observations and identifying operational opportunities.
• Utilize software available to you to solve complex problems (Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Python, etc.).
