Job summary

Polar Semiconductor is seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern for a 12–13 week on-site assignment in Bloomington, MN. You will collaborate with Industrial, Operations, Process and Maintenance Engineering teams to analyze data, build Power BI reports, and develop actionable insights for manufacturing planning.

Ideal candidates are pursuing IE/Manufacturing/SC degrees and can code in SQL or Python, with strong Excel/PowerBI skills and a basic understanding of production science.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Production Operations Management or related discipline.
• Ability to code in SQL, Python or similar to extract data.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerBI or similar data management/visualization tools.
• Basic understanding of Manufacturing Science and Production concepts.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop reporting solutions to improve factory operations and planning.
• Use large data sources to extract and analyze manufacturing and planning data.
• Build reporting in Power BI and other systems to convey data to program teams.
• Construct infographics that display key information in easy-to-understand formats.
• Leverage AI tools and explore new AI applications in the workplace.
