Job summary

Fluidstack operates at the frontier of hyperscale data center infrastructure, seeking a hands-on leader to own on-site data center operations, escalations, and maintenance coordination. You will drive incident response, partner with colo providers, and shape the site’s reliability standards in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires deep knowledge of critical power and cooling systems, a proven track record in change management for high-risk work, and the ability to document and improve

Qualifications

• Experience operating or leading live data center facilities.
• Knowledge of the critical-infrastructure stack (power and cooling) to act as on-site authority.
• Experience running change management for high-risk work.
• Calm, capable first responder for incidents in a live environment.
• Audit, document and improve to strengthen the site's operating posture.
• Bonus: hyperscale or colocation operations; Uptime Institute or NFPA familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site SME for data center critical infrastructure, handling escalations across the white space and supporting facilities.
• Understand and manage site design limitations and risks, auditing colocation partners and service providers on maintenance programs and effectiveness.
• Own the change management process for high-risk maintenance activities in the data center.
• Act as first responder on-site for incidents, driving resolution with support from engineering and infrastructure SMEs.
• Partner with colo partners, vendors, and internal teams to keep the site reliable, feeding learnings back into design and process.
