Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Mobile Compactor Repair Technician in Louisville to troubleshoot, install and repair compactors and power units under supervision. You will perform on-site repairs at customer locations, fabricate parts, and follow safety procedures.

The role requires welding and hydraulics or electronics proficiency, and at least 2 years of experience with hydraulic pumps and hoses; valid driver's license is mandatory. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with welding, hydraulics or electronics.
• Able to use MIG & stick welders, plasma cutter, airless paint sprayers.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.
• At least 2 years of prior experience with hydraulic pumps and hoses.

Responsibilities

• Replacement of hydraulic cylinders.
• Fabricates replacement hoses and fittings.
• Weld steel components using MIG and Arc welding equipment
• Cuts steel using a plasma cutter or torch
• Fabricates steel components for compactors
• Performs on-site repairs at customer locations.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Install company and safety decals in accordance with company standard diagram on all compactors.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Refer more complex repairs to the Technician A or Lead Technician.
