Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Lexington, KY is seeking an Industrial Service Technician to perform repair and maintenance on containers and the vehicle fleet. This role involves physical work, welding, and on-site customer servicing, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will travel to customer locations, operate a CMV per DOT, and collaborate with management to schedule work. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits and requires reading and speaking English.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical knowledge and welding aptitude.
• Ability to read installation diagrams and troubleshooting guides.
• Excellent welding and mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with MIG/ARC and stick welding.
• Proficient in using standard shop tools and measuring devices.
• Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain prior to hire.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform grinding, cutting, welding and other fabrication or repair work on company containers, compactors, and equipment.
• On-site repairs at customer locations including hydraulic and electrical work.
• Complete welding and painting at customer location.
• Complete safety checks on containers and equipment.
• Travel to customer sites for repairs and follow up.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per OSHA standards.
