Job summary

Wastequip is seeking a Field Service Technician to repair and maintain trash and recycling equipment, including compactors, balers, and hydraulic systems. The role requires traveling to customer locations to diagnose and repair equipment and to perform preventive maintenance.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic, welding, and mechanical repair experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently while communicating professionally with

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of mechanical repair experience.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting.
• Hydraulic systems.
• Welding (MIG preferred).
• Mechanical repairs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair compactors, balers, and other trash equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical problems.
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs.
• Install new equipment and complete equipment startups.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Read electrical and hydraulic diagrams when needed.
• Complete work orders and service reports.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Follow all company safety policies.
