Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field-based HVAC technician responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing and starting up systems at customer locations. You will work with air conditioning theory, pipe fitting and mechanical layouts, collaborating with internal and external partners on facility upgrades and retrofits.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and up to 2 years in HVAC, with MS Office proficiency and the ability to operate handheld devices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years HVAC experience preferred.
• EPA Certification preferred (e.g. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).
• Valid driver’s license with clean history.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand on-site installation and repairs; forecast issues and gather materials.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and manage equipment on assigned projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use available software and hand tools to diagnose and repair HVAC units following blueprints and specs.
• Be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as needed.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain asset security and accountability.
