Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a Journeyman Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot and start up HVAC systems at customer sites in a commercial environment. You will apply air conditioning theory, pipe fitting and mechanical layouts, working with various partners on facility projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and working proficiency with handheld computer (smartphone, tablet).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for 12+ months with clean record.
• EPA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with team leader/customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs, forecasting issues and synchronizing on-site work.
• Represents the company as the direct customer contact and is responsible for products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment.
• Uses software, tools, and blueprints/engineering specs to diagnose and repair units.
• Maintains safety standards and records usage of company assets; flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.
• Keeps safety and security as top priority and coordinates with internal/external partners.
