Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to perform on-site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems for commercial customers. You will use your knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fittings, and mechanical layouts to support facility setups and retrofits.

The role requires 5+ years in HVAC, EPA certification, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically 5+ years of HVAC experience; technical school or formal training preferred.
• Office software proficiency (Microsoft Office) and familiarity with handheld devices.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with a clean record per company policy.
• EPA Universal Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand on-site installation and repair requirements, forecast issues, and gather materials.
• Serve as the direct customer contact on assigned projects, diagnosing and repairing equipment to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use software, blueprints, and a range of hand-tools to diagnose and repair HVAC units.
• Be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed, including occasional overnight stays.
• Enforce safety standards and track company-issued assets and their condition.
