Job summary

Trane Technologies in Illinois is seeking a Field Service Technician to support on-site HVAC installation and repair. You will coordinate with the team and customer to understand requirements, diagnose equipment, and perform repairs at the customer’s location.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices is expected. This role emphasizes safety, physical endurance, and willingness to work overtime or weekends as the business requires.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; technical school is a plus.
• EPA certification preferred (e.g., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs.
• Diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations following blueprints or specs.
• Operate MS Office and handheld devices to document work and track progress.
• Maintain safety standards and be able to work overtime or weekends as needed.
• Assist in safeguarding company assets and reporting usage and wear.
