Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer in Albuquerque is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, and coatings. The role focuses on on-site operations for a single client in the shipping industry and requires routine preventive maintenance and timely repairs.

The schedule runs Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 3:30 with no on-call or overtime, and candidates should be ready to work with roll-up doors or dock levelers if experienced.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• Universal CFC certification and local/state certifications as may be required.
• Able to meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs or more.
• Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, electrical, and control systems; ensure building systems meet standards.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives related to building operations.
• Maintain an energy management program to optimize system efficiency.
• Support preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Ensure safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean workspace.
• Review building inspections (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for proper operation.
• Share in-depth knowledge across disciplines and coach teammates as needed.
• Lead by example in CBRE RISE values and build consensus across teams.
