Job summary

Brazosport College is seeking an experienced Facilities Services Specialist – HVAC to ensure proper operation and maintenance of campus HVAC systems and indoor air quality. This role requires on-site presence and collaboration with contractors.

You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor the BAS, and assist with energy management while supporting facility operations and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s Degree in Industrial Technology preferred.
• Three years of HVAC experience.
• Training or working knowledge of HVAC systems, BAS controls, and mechanical/electrical systems.
• Preferred knowledge of computer integrated energy management HVAC mechanical and electrical control systems.
• Proficiency with mechanical and electrical switch gear equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and limited repairs on HVAC systems and related equipment campus-wide.
• Oversee Central Plant HVAC operations including chillers, boilers, and BAS adjustments.
• Collaborate on campus projects with Facility Services team and contractors.
• Assist with Energy Management System monitoring and building operations.
