Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA Section 608 certification required; Universal Certification preferred.
• Current Texas HVAC technician registration or other applicable license per state law.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC technical training program or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and related equipment throughout campus.
• Maintain school buildings, facilities, grounds, and equipment as needed.
• Inspect, diagnose, and resolve HVAC malfunctions to ensure efficient operation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, including inspection, cleaning, and component replacement.
• Monitor HVAC system performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Assist with installation, replacement, and maintenance of HVAC equipment and controls.
• Coordinate with BAS and energy management systems for optimized operation.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address campus heating/cooling concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of work areas.
• Move equipment and assist with classroom setups and events.
