Job summary

CFS in Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced HR Supervisor to oversee a broad range of HR functions on-site. You will lead employee relations, administer benefits and compliance programs, and support payroll and HRIS activities while partnering with management and staff.

This hands-on role requires strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and the ability to travel between Chicagoland locations. A Bachelor’s degree and supervisory experience are preferred; SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations investigations and support progressive discipline and corrective action processes.
• Administer benefits, open enrollment, leave programs, accommodations, FMLA, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work processes.
• Oversee HRIS data accuracy, payroll support, and employment changes.
• Manage performance evaluation processes and assist with employee development and training.
• Monitor federal, state, and local employment regulations and ensure HR policies remain compliant.
• Coordinate recruitment activities, onboarding, orientation, offboarding, and employment verification.
• Prepare HR metrics, reporting, audits, and compliance documentation for leadership.
• Supervise and provide guidance to HR staff while collaborating with benefits, payroll, HRIS, and other vendors.
• Travel among Chicagoland locations as needed while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
