Job summary

ByVerTek, LLC is seeking a dedicated HR Specialist to join our Human Resources team in Boca Raton, FL. This 100% on-site role requires strong payroll experience, HRIS/ATS familiarity, and excellent communication with employees across all levels.

Join a dynamic telecom construction firm and help manage recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and payroll while delivering exceptional service to staff. Local candidates only, with a focus on meticulous records and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum four (4) years’ experience as an HR Specialist, Generalist or Coordinator.
• Solid experience processing and administering payroll (ADP strongly preferred).
• Position is 100% on-site in Boca Raton, FL; must be local and commute daily.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS 365.
• Working knowledge with HRIS and ATS is required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is an asset.
• SHRM membership and PHR/SPHR certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job postings, coordinating interview and recruitment processes, offer letters, background checks and candidate tracking.
• Onboard employees, including new hire forms and HRIS data entry, I-9 oversight, and file maintenance.
• Assist in benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and bill reconciliations, FMLA, leaves, and open enrollment.
• Respond to information requests for claims and audits as requested.
• Serve as first point of contact for HR inquiries and route to appropriate staff promptly.
• Maintain Employee Handbook, SOPs and other policies.
• Schedule meetings or interviews as requested by EVP of HR and other clerical tasks.
• Maintain compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
• Handle payroll processing, reconciliation, reporting and inquiries.
• Assist in HR training material creation and delivery.
