Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a Human Resource Specialist to support a state-of-the-art construction project in Michigan. You will champion our culture, manage key HR processes, and serve as a trusted advisor to staff and management on a daily basis.

You will foster positive employee relations, support Talent Acquisition, ensure compliance with EEO, labor classifications, and OFCCP requirements, and collaborate with on-site supervisors while traveling up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, I/O psychology, or related field and 3–5 years of HR experience.
• Proven expertise in a specific HR specialty area (e.g., recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration).
• Proficient in HRIS, databases, MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive issues.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; thrives in fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to travel; travel estimated at 10%.

Responsibilities

• Champion Walbridge culture and promote inclusive relationships.
• Guide compliance with EEO, labor classifications, and OFCCP requirements.
• Partner with on-site supervisors and support Talent Acquisition and HR team.
• Oversee new team member programs, health & wellness, training, postings, and testing.
• Lead investigations and resolve employee relations matters promptly.
