Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a Human Resource Specialist to support a state-of-the-art construction project. You will champion the company culture, manage HR processes, and serve as a trusted advisor to staff and management to foster positive employee relations and a productive work environment.

You will collaborate with on-site supervisors and the corporate HR team, overseeing onboarding, wellness initiatives, training, and compliance with EEO and OFCCP requirements. Travel about 10% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field and 3-5 years HR experience.
• Proven expertise in a specific HR specialty area (e.g., recruitment, team member relations, benefits administration).
• Proficiency in HR information systems, databases, MS Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with discretion.
• Excellent time management, organization skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel; travel is estimated at 10%.

Responsibilities

• Champion Walbridge culture of inclusion initiative and promote strong working relationships.
• Provide guidance and maintain compliance with EEO, labor classifications, and OFCCP requirements.
• Partner with on-site project supervisors, facilitate the Talent Acquisition process, and support the corporate HR team.
• Provide oversight of new team member programs, health & wellness initiatives, training, labor postings and signage, and substance abuse testing process.
• Lead investigations and resolve team member relations matters promptly and effectively.
