Job summary

The role manages routine HR matters, coordinates employment processes, and ensures accurate documentation in compliance with policy, contract, and law.

Work closely with the HR Manager and corporate HR, escalating complex employee-relations and labor issues as needed while maintaining system accuracy and timely responses at the site.

Qualifications

• Experience handling employee questions, employment documentation, HR transactions, and routine employee-relations matters.
• Experience supporting a unionized workforce or working with collective bargaining agreements preferred.
• Experience in government contracting or another highly regulated environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, employee-relations practices, and personnel administration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managers; research issues, coordinate resolutions, ensure follow-through.
• Manage routine employee-relations matters and support complex cases with HR Manager; escalate significant risk.
• Process and document employment actions (hiring, transfers, promotions, leaves, separations) per policies and law.
• Coordinate recruiting and onboarding with Talent Acquisition and managers; support background checks and new-hire processing.
• Support administration of collective bargaining agreements; provide guidance on contract requirements.
• Prepare routine HR reports, trackers, and workforce data; suggest practical process improvements.
