Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an on-site Human Resources Generalist to support staffing, onboarding, retention, training and team member services at our Lansing Distribution Complex.

Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, screening, coordinating interviews, conducting onboarding, and maintaining HR records. The role collaborates with managers to meet hiring goals while ensuring EEO compliance and strong employee relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field required.
• PHR or SPHR certification desirable.
• 3 to 5 years HR Generalist experience in a support role.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, interviewing and screening hourly and salaried candidates.
• Meet with hiring managers to understand business objectives and candidate requirements.
• Manage job profile creation and updates in the job library.
• Coordinate with community job placement services and colleges for interviews.
• Coordinate and attend job fairs and other hiring events.
• Assist with onboarding and orientation as needed.
• Develop and monitor metrics related to recruiting, onboarding and turnover.
• Track headcount and staffing numbers.
