Job summary

Caring for Others seeks a Human Resources Manager to lead core HR operations and partner with leadership in a mission-driven organization in Central Oregon. This is an in-person, office-based role in Redmond, OR.

The role requires strong HR expertise, judgment, and the ability to work independently across a broad, compliance-sensitive workload while partnering with leadership and branches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR/related field.
• Minimum 5 years in HR Generalist/HR Manager/HRBP with benefits, leave, workers' comp, and unemployment claims.
• Ability to work independently and make sound HR decisions in a multi-site environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first HR contact, manage inbox/phone/mail/ticketing in a timely, professional manner.
• Administer workers' compensation end-to-end including return-to-work planning.
• Manage leave programs (FMLA, OFLA, ADA) and unemployment claims with compliance.
• Administer employee benefit programs, enrollment, eligibility, vendor coordination, inquiries.
• Provide payroll processing and HRIS support, wage garnishments, verifications.
• Own and improve the Employee Training Program for current compliance and delivery.
• Provide day-to-day HR support to branches and guide performance management and offboarding.
• Act as de facto HR lead in absence of HR leader, escalating per SOPs.
