Job summary

Vanguard is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to serve as the on-site people partner for our datacenter operations in Lubbock, TX. You’ll manage recruitment, benefits, employee relations, performance management, training, HR records, compliance, and reporting in a high-demand 24/7 environment.

This mid-level role requires independence, strong ethics, and the ability to partner with site managers and employees to drive measurable improvements in turnover, engagement, and overall workplace

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of progressive HR experience across multiple HR functions.
• Experience supporting field-based, technical, or trades workforce in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Proficiency in Miter Software.
• Professional certification: SHRM-CP or PHR (preferred).
• Familiarity with Texas employment law and multi-site HR operations.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and onboarding: full-cycle recruitment for technical and operational roles, including postings, screening, interviewing, offers, background checks, onboarding and orientation.
• Benefits administration: open enrollment, claims processing, vendor coordination, and benefits education.
• Employee relations: address concerns, mediate conflicts, conduct investigations, and advise site managers.
• Performance management: coaching, goal setting, evaluations, and development plans.
• Training and development: coordinate role-specific trainings and safety/compliance programs.
• HR records administration: maintain records, HR databases, changes, and reporting.
• Compliance and policy implementation: ensure site-level compliance with federal/state/local laws and audits.
• HR metrics and reporting: analyze turnover, engagement, and time-to-hire; report to VP.
• Offboarding: exit interviews, final pay, and knowledge transfer.
