Job summary

Mainspring Recovery in Dumfries, VA is seeking an on-site Human Resources Administrator to manage the full lifecycle of HR, including onboarding, payroll, benefits, and employee relations. This role partners with leadership to maintain sound policies and foster an inclusive workplace.

The HR Administrator supports training, compliance, and engagement initiatives, aligning HR practices with legal requirements and company culture. This is a full-time, exempt position based on-site in Dumfries, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources required.
• BLS certification or willingness to obtain within 45 days of hire.
• PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SRHM-SCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site HR contact for managers and employees.
• Lead weekly new hire orientation on culture, policies, benefits and expectations.
• Coordinate onsite BLS training and maintain instructor certification.
• Oversee onboarding, background screenings, I-9, and payroll setup.
• Lead employee relations with site leadership to ensure compliant resolutions.
• Monitor compliance of trainings, licensure, certifications, and renewals.
• Process bi-weekly payroll with timecard audits and approvals.
• Collaborate with legal/compliance to align HR policies.
• Develop HR programs to improve workplace culture and engagement.
• Support DEI initiatives and promote equitable practices.
