Job summary

Hume Christian Camps is seeking an HR Assistant to provide essential administrative support for the Hume Lake HR team. You will handle onboarding, recordkeeping, compliance tracking, and daily HR operations with confidentiality and attention to detail.

The role is based at Hume Lake, CA, and offers on-site work in a mission-driven, faith-based environment. Candidates should be discreet, service-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive personnel matters.

Qualifications

• On-site HR administrative experience preferred.
• Pass DOJ/FBI Live Scan background check and CA AB 506 training as required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn HRIS/ATS.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive personnel matters.
• Experience in camp, ministry, nonprofit, or seasonal workforce is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential personnel files and records.
• Support onboarding by preparing offer packets and scheduling orientation.
• Track fingerprinting and background screening for youth-serving staff.
• Enter and update applicant/employee data in the HRIS/ATS.
• Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications.
