Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• At least three (3) years of hands-on systems administration experience in a high-performance computing or research lab environment.
• Or in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, an Associate’s Degree in a computer-related field and 6 years of progressively responsible systems administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows, Linux, and macOS across lab and staff computers.
• Coordinate with campus DIT for user accounts, Active Directory permissions, and data access controls.
• Manage inventory and replacement cycle of computing equipment.
• Support GPU-enabled workstations and HPC environments for analytics/AI.
• Help researchers develop data workflows, train models, and analyze results.
• Provide onboarding and training to students and researchers on lab tools and systems.
• Maintain VPN access, cloud storage, and system integration with university IT policies.
