Job summary

ADP, Inc. is hiring a HIM Validator (Coder) for the Jericho, NY office. This full-time role requires expertise in ICD-10-CM guidelines and DRG validation to ensure accurate coding assignments.

You will work on-site with healthcare professionals, applying your RHIA/RHIT/CCS credentials and ICD-10 certification. A Bachelor's degree in health information management or health administration is preferred and one year of hospital coding experience is required.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills to relate to physicians, senior medical, nursing and admin staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Technical knowledge of coding and DRG validation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the assignment of coding/DRG is accurate and compliant with ICD-10-CM guidelines.
• Follow AHA Coding Clinic regulations and internal review program rules.
• Contribute to consistent coding practices across reviews.
