Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P certification required.
• Two+ years of outpatient coding and abstracting experience.
• Experience with CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 coding.
• Bachelor’s degree in health information management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Validate DRG codes and ensure coding accuracy.
• Apply CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 guidelines to claims and data.
• Prepare independent dispute resolution reviews from external agencies.
• Provide subject matter input and support agency-wide projects.
• On-site work at the Jericho, NY office.
