Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Operator Foreman to lead heavy equipment operations on our projects. You will operate equipment such as blade, dozer, loader, crane, and more, while ensuring compliance with safety policies. You will plan, organize, and direct operators based on project requirements and regulatory guidelines.

You will supervise crews, coordinate work sequences, and assist in staffing and estimating worker hours. A strong safety mindset and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Equipment certifications required and two years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license with proper classifications and endorsements.
• Ability to read and follow safety regulations and manuals.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (blade, dozer, loader, crane, etc.) as directed.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain clean, organized work area.
• Perform routine maintenance and monitor equipment for malfunctions.
• Adhere to work plans, adjust sequences to meet schedules.
• Assist in scheduling and estimating worker-hours; resolve issues.
• Supervise and direct operators; manage performance and coaching.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
