Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Operator Foreman to lead crew operating heavy equipment in accordance with safety rules and project requirements on our Texas project.

You will plan, organize, and direct operators, monitor performance, and coordinate with teams to meet schedules while maintaining quality and compliance. The role requires at least two years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and a strong teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• Must have equipment operation knowledge and safety compliance awareness.
• Minimum two years of related experience in operating teams.
• Strong ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Valid driver’s license with necessary endorsements as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment as directed and ensure safe operation.
• Plan and direct operators; coordinate with teams to meet schedules.
• Monitor maintenance, perform basic troubleshooting, and report malfunctions.
• Lead by example, coach staff, and manage performance.
