Advocate Health’s 7-week Summer Internship Program offers high school students aged 16+ a robust, hands-on experience within a hospital setting. The internship is on-site and designed to expose students to clinical, administrative, operational, and support functions.

Interns will rotate through or support multiple departments and participate in guided activities and projects. The program includes professional development and networking events, helping teens build workplace skills and connections

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school and is aged 16+ years or older before the start of the internship.
• Demonstrated interest in exploring health care careers.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured hands-on learning experience across clinical, administrative, operational and support functions.
• Rotate through or support a variety of departments to gain exposure to day-to-day hospital operations.
• Attend professional development and social networking events throughout the internship.
