Job summary

Advocate Health’s Summer Internship Program offers a 7-week, on-site experience for high school students aged 16+. Interns work up to 24 hours per week Monday–Friday and participate in hands-on projects across clinical, administrative, operational, and support functions.

Under supervision, interns engage in educational activities and professional development events, rotating through departments to gain exposure to healthcare careers and the day-to-day operations of a hospital or health system.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school and aged 16+ before the start of the internship.
• Demonstrated interest in exploring health care careers.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in educational activities and observational experiences during the internship.
• Assist with assigned projects while rotating through clinical, administrative, operational, and support functions.
