Job summary

Advocate Health’s 7-week Summer Internship Program offers high school students aged 16+ a structured, hands-on learning experience to explore healthcare careers. Interns participate in educational activities and projects, rotating through departments to gain exposure to clinical, administrative, operational and support functions.

Under supervision, interns will develop foundational workplace and professional skills while engaging in professional development and social networking events

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school and aged 16+ at start of internship.
• Must have demonstrated interest in exploring health care careers.

Responsibilities

• Participate in educational activities, observational experiences, and assigned projects under supervision.
• Rotate through or support a variety of departments to gain exposure to clinical, administrative, operational and support functions.
• Develop foundational workplace and professional skills during the 7-week internship.
