Advocate Health’s 7-week Summer Internship Program offers high school students aged 16+ a hands-on introduction to healthcare and hospital operations. This on-site internship provides meaningful work, professional development, and networking with mentors and peers.

Participants may rotate through departments, gain exposure to clinical, administrative, and operational tasks, and build foundational workplace skills while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school and aged 16+ years before start of internship.
• Demonstrated interest in exploring healthcare careers.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured, hands-on learning experience across hospital operations.
• Rotate through or support multiple departments to gain exposure to clinical, administrative, and operational tasks.
