Job summary

J&J Worldwide Services is seeking a Health & Safety professional for a site administrator role at Ft. Sam Houston, TX. You will administer site-specific health and safety programs, train the workforce on safety procedures, and ensure all contract safety requirements are followed.

Reports to the Site Level Project Manager and Regional Director of Operations; requires 5 years in healthcare safety programs, strong English communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to convey information effectively in writing and in presentations or speeches to other employees.
• Familiarity with environmental, Health and Safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute site-specific occupational health and safety programs.
• Audit the workplace for hazards, communicate solutions, and evaluate progress with subcontractors and site employees.
• Evaluate hazardous conditions and recommend controls or PPE.
• Administer accident prevention plans including safety briefings and audits; interact with OSHA and regulators.
• Schedule, coordinate and deliver safety training; maintain training records.
• Investigate incidents to determine cause and preventive measures.
• Prepare incident/accident reports for management and regulators.
• Support Company Safety Program and Culture.
• Coordinate workers' compensation cases with insurance personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
