Job summary

Generac Channel Partner is seeking an experienced generator technician to service and repair residential and commercial standby generators. You will perform on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting using a company vehicle.

The role requires 2–5 years in a mechanical setting with generator experience, the ability to read technical manuals, and a valid driver’s license. Lifting up to 50 lbs and outdoor work are expected.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a mechanical setting working on 8kW–60kW generators.
• Proven knowledge of preventative maintenance and load bank testing.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and service manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair generators: change air filters, oil, battery levels, spark plugs.
• Perform on-site planned maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting for generators (DC & AC voltage).
• Work independently or with a small team and a company vehicle servicing residential and commercial standby generators.
• Handle multiple appointments per day and provide excellent customer service.
