Job summary

The GEO Group, a global leader in evidenced-based rehabilitation, seeks a Physician to provide primary care to detainees in Adelanto, CA. This on-site, 1099 contractor role requires diagnosing and managing a wide range of illnesses, with 16 hours per week and pay at USD 175.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include treating detainees according to clinical guidelines, ordering studies, prescribing medications, maintaining electronic health records, and providing 24-hour on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and state medical license required.
• Two years of direct work experience as a Physician.
• Completion of a U.S.-based residency program required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat detainees/inmates under clinical guidelines.
• Provide medical treatment and order studies/tests.
• Prescribe medications and manage ongoing cases.
• Maintain health records and confidentiality (EHR).
• 24-hour on-call coverage for detainees.
