Trinity Services Group is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to oversee large-scale food service operations inside a jail/correctional facility. You will work on-site, supervise cooks and servers, and report to the Food Service Director.

The role emphasizes leadership, compliance with health regulations, and continuous improvement. Ideal candidates have strong leadership, experience with food handling regulations, and a commitment to service.

Qualifications

• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and with food service management systems.
• Institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and manage the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Develop positive connections with clients through communication.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served according to plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in advance preparation of menu schedule.
• Ensure proper storage of food items.
• Maintain serving schedules per menu specifications following guidelines.
• Ensure sanitary environment per Health Department codes.
• Manage state or other inspections of the operation.
• Other duties as determined by needs.
