Trinity Services Group is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to manage and supervise a large on-site food service operation inside a jail/correctional facility. You will work with the Food Service Director to plan activities, ensure safe food handling, and maintain high service standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, adherence to health regulations, and the ability to adapt to changes while delivering quality meals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Two years of supervisory/management experience in food service.
• Three years of experience in food service.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience with kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and math for reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and manage the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective actions to team members.
• Oversee food quantities prepared and served per plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy for planned menus.
• Ensure proper storage of food items.
• Maintain serving schedules per menu specifications safely.
• Ensure sanitary conditions per codes and regulations.
• Handle state or other inspections as required.
• Perform other duties as needed.
