Job summary

Dowbuilt is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead on-site, high-end residential projects at a Morgan, UT project site, coordinating detailed carpentry scopes and safety for field crews and subcontractors.

You will drive finish work quality, oversee look-ahead planning, and collaborate with the project team to deliver precise work on schedule while maintaining client and designer communication.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience as a carpenter/finish carpenter.
• Strong communication with a wide variety of people.
• Ability to motivate others to perform work at their highest and best.
• Proficiency with company software tools: MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), Bluebeam, FieldWire, Procore and Smartsheet.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field and/or equivalent professional experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must complete or already have acquired appropriate safety training, commensurate with the position and location.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deadlines are met and communicate new dates to the Superintendent and Project Manager.
• Lead finish crew with a positive, collaborative approach and mentor performance.
• Conduct site walks to help subcontractors prepare proposals and safety plans.
• Enforce workplace rules, safety guidelines, and disciplinary actions when needed.
• Co-manage labor, materials, and subcontractor costs and review cost-to-complete reports.
• Manage building layout and dimensional control using precise measurement tools.
• Plan and communicate daily/weekly scopes and look-ahead work with the crew.
• Provide field-generated information (as-built drawings, photos, measurements) regularly.
