Job summary

Dowbuilt is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead high-end residential projects on-site in Morgan, UT. The role requires advanced interior and exterior carpentry skills, a deep knowledge of construction best practices, and strong collaboration with clients, vendors, subs, designers, and engineers.

You will coordinate schedules, manage the finish scope, and ensure quality workmanship while maintaining safety and on-site efficiency.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience as a carpenter/finish carpenter
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience
• Strong communication and leadership abilities with on-site supervision experience

Responsibilities

• Meet deadlines, flag slipping deadlines early, and communicate new timelines to supervision and PM
• Lead finish crew with collaboration; provide performance feedback
• Conduct site walk-throughs to help subcontractors prepare proposals and safety plans
• Enforce workplace safety rules and disciplinary actions as needed
• Co-manage cost-to-complete reports with the team and control costs
• Manage building layout and use of levels and equipment
• Plan manpower projections with superintendent and report changes promptly
• Communicate daily and weekly work scopes; use look-ahead planning tools
• Provide field-generated information in Fieldwire/Sharefile/ Dowbuilt platforms
• Ensure employees have required tools per policy and project requirements
• Document as-built information; maintain quality standards
• Attend Employee Development Meetings and conduct EDMs
• Maintain neighbor relations and a positive onsite attitude
• Remain solution-oriented and professional on site
