Job summary

UVeye is seeking a Field Service Engineer to lead on-site installations and ongoing service of UVeye inspection systems across the United States and Canada (and EU/UK). You will guide contractors, configure systems, and validate performance to hand off to customers.

The role requires 4+ years in field engineering, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a commitment to safety. Willingness to travel up to 100% is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Field Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Field Technician.
• Experience leading contractors or teams during technical installations.
• Ability to travel up to 100% across US/Canada, EU and UK.
• Working knowledge of Linux-based systems and basic networking.
• Experience reading site layouts and technical drawings using AutoCAD/Autodesk.
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to enforce safety on-site.
• Customer-facing mindset with strong communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site installations and deployments of UVeye systems.
• Guide third-party contractors to meet engineering specs, timelines, and safety standards.
• Install, configure, calibrate, and validate systems across multiple components.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and integration issues in the field.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service to maximize uptime.
• Ensure safety compliance and enforce on-site procedures for all personnel.
• Review site layouts and technical drawings, identifying discrepancies.
• Act as the primary on-site technical contact with clear communication.
• Document installations and service activities, escalating when needed.
